Thanks for you report, I’ll look into the short/long tons.
What do you mean by preset suggestion? The default name when creating a new object?
Yes i mean the default names when creating all diffrent types of new objects
The object id is auto generated (it must be unique) and the name is simply set to the same value. A language dependent name would be better, but the issue is only the client has knowledge of a language, the server has not. It is possible to connect with multiple clients were each client has a different language set.
The solution I can think of is that the client sets the name after it has created the object. I’ll look into that, so stay tuned ![]()
Update on short/long tons: These terms are language neutral currently, see /shared/translations/neutral.json.
I think it is better to rename them to be more explicit:
Currently for each weight property, the unit can be set individually. I’m still a bit in doubt…it could also be a single setting that can be set in the world properties or even an client setting, the the server can use SI units :).
Language aware names are now possible ![]()
When a new object is created, e.g. a Train the client will check if id and name are equal, if it does it checks if default_name:<id_prefix> exists, if it does it will set the name to <default_name:<id_prefix>> <id_number>: train_1 → Train 1.
This introduces some new terms that require translation…
