Sensor support on turnouts/switches

May i suggest sensors on turnouts/switches
varieties:

  • single ( one of: thrown/mid/closed )
  • dual ( two of: thrown/mid/closed )
  • tristate ( Thrown/mid/closed )

rationale:
CBUS/VLCB may have Start of Day events where they bring the layout to a default standard position. WHich is more than likely different than Traintastic expects. Unless a Start of Day event-storm can be set up and driven from traintastic itself ( setting all swithes and turnouts to a known position where desirable )

or: assuming the position you have without feedback is risky and may lead to accidents. For example: Traintastic assumes layout is set to “straight ahead”. In reality if that turnout is set to “turn right” …
CBUS/VLCB can start with bringing a turnout to a known position.
You could consider at least doing that:
Walk around all the turnouts and set the turnouts to the last saved/known position.

Besides that:
If you can bring a layout to a know position/verify it is in that position
Situations like
ModeltraIn layout fire due to shortcircuit
may be avoided

Logos / pics for Loco’s:

If you have multiple loco’s it may become hard to identify a specific loco in your roster just by a name / description.
If you could add a photo/jpeg; this might be easier.

Especially if you have multiple throttles going, identifying a loco by picture is probably easier than by name/dcc id.
This goes for Phone based throttles / on-screen throttles.

Picture vs 1000 words…
